Before Your First Injectable

A first injectable appointment should feel less like a procedure and more like a conversation. Before anything is drawn up, we spend the majority of the visit simply talking — about what you notice in the mirror, what you would never want to lose, and what a good outcome looks like in your own words.
Preparation is refreshingly simple. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements for a day or two beforehand to reduce bruising, arrive without heavy makeup, and come with reference to how you actually feel rather than a photograph of someone else.
A good first appointment is mostly listening. The needle is almost an afterthought.

The questions worth asking
Ask who is treating you and what they are qualified to do. Ask what product is being used and why. Ask what happens if you do not like it. A clinician who welcomes these questions is one you can trust; a clinician who rushes past them is telling you something important.
You will leave with tiny marks that fade within the hour and clear aftercare instructions. Results settle over one to two weeks — which is exactly why we never make a second decision on the first day.
